A survey had been done with the help of interview schedule, some case studies, 1 interview etc. This provided the researcher a chance to observe the pattern of personal in interaction and participation of women in the panchayat as well as the change in status. Therefore, the researchers were in a position to observe the pattern of status change and the dethronement of a woman who headed the panchayat for some years.The researchers tried their best to interact directly with the former women pradhan but in some of the cases, their husband, son, and other family members helped the pradhans. In the present study 61.24 % of the respondents independently replied tothe questions, whereas their husband helped 11.80%, their son helped 11.24% and other members of their family helped 15.73% of the women pradhans.
