There is no denying the fact that it is a step ahead in the real democratization of Indian society and the polity dominated by Brahmincal values and traditions despite near six decade experiment in electoral democracy. This book is a comprehensive introduction to dalits in India from the origins of caste system to the present day and impact of Ambedkar and his movement on their lives.
